Faux Fur Trim Longline Coat

Beautiful coat, but major shedding and misleading fit I was thrilled to find this coat—it’s exactly the style I’ve been searching for. It arrived today and while the craftsmanship is impressive (love the magnetic buttons and the rich suede), the faux fur sheds excessively. I tried the coat on when it was delivered, and when I took it off, I had fur all over my sweater and slacks. I looked like I’d rolled in dog hair. I honestly can’t believe Via Spiga would release a coat with this issue. Also, the “fur lining” isn’t actually a lining. It’s the reverse side of the suede—there’s no separate layer. So, the sleeves especially tight, since they’re lined. The product description suggests sizing down due to an oversized cut, but I strongly disagree. If anything, it fits smaller, especially if you plan to wear winter layers like sweaters or cardigans. I would recommend sizing up. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this coat. The shedding is a serious flaw, and the fit and construction are misleading. I’m disappointed and will be returning it.
