Laguna Stripe Linen Button-Up Shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving my new Faherty clothes. Everything fits perfectly, and materials are of the highest quality. Given the intense summer heat and humidity, i decided I'm going to go all in on linen, and it has been keeping me cool and styling!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shirt is great quality, and the linen is soft, nice, and breathable. However, the Faherty sizing seems to be designed to fit specifically the lean and tall and won’t work that well for the other types. For example, I am 5'9" 165lbs, average to athletic build and I am size M in most of the brands – Vineyard, Brooks, etc. and almost all of their shirts and polos fit perfectly. However, all of the many Faherty items that I own or have tried are a bit too tight in the chest area. Some items like this shirt are barely OK while others too tight to be comfortable and look good. In fact, even on some of the official Faherty product photos for various items you see models standing straight and their shirt buttons pulling at the fabric to try and reach each other - a classic telltale sign that the shirt is too tight! Sadly, while sizing up fixes this it means that you end up with things like sleeves that are way too long or a blazer that sits at or below the lower-crotch, so you get stuck between the items that are either too tight or way too long. I really, really hope that the Faherty design team would consider making sizing more standard-fit and athletic-fit friendly and not just cater to a very specific slender body type. Really, all it takes is to add an inch or two in the chest area. Meanwhile, if you are on a taller and skinnier side, you might quite enjoy this shirt as the quality and the overall style are great!
