Facial Shea Butter Moisturizer

After running out of my tried and true face cream, I decided to try Facial Shea Buttah after reading all the positive reviews. It's inexpensive compared to other face creams (I use La Mer and L'Occitaine Facial Shea Butter 25%) and it promises to nourish, protect and soothe. Of course, I did not compare Facial Shea Buttah to my regular face creams, that would be unfair. The consistency of Facial Shea Buttah is thick, as you would expect. After placing a small amount in my palms and melting it, I applied it to my face. It goes on smooth, but it is hard to massage into your skin. It kind of sits on top of your skin. It's oily and left my face with a shine that I could only get from using Vasoline. My skin felt smooth after applying, but it did not look moisturized or nourished, just shiny and oily. The smell is not the best either, which is also to be expected with shea butter. Maybe it will be a good night treatment, which is how I plan to use what's left of the product. I'd recommend trying to get a sample of the product before buying,

I have combination skin that loves moisture. I bought this cream after going over the ingredient list, -def up my alley. Unfortunately on receiving and opening the jar, the cream was already separated (oil on top) - hence the 4 rating. Nevertheless, am going to continue using it and I surely will buy it again.
