Soft, Dark, Beautiful
A blog I trust wrote a feature on this eyeliner. The review was raving, and I was in the market for a new eyeliner because so many I've tried are hard, smudge too easily, or fade. I'm glad I made the purchase, because this eyeliner has none of those problems. The line it gives is soft, dark, smooth, and just absolutely lovely. It lasts almost all day, and doesn't irritate my eyes (which are sensitive). It gets five stars from me, because I can't think of a way in which they could improve the product.
The only disappointment with this product is the product image online. It shows the full cartridge and holder, which is not what you get. These two items are sold separately. Thankfully, because of free shipping, it doesn't cost me any extra to order it separately.

Not convenient
Ok when I bought this, I thought it is an option to have the holder -- so this cartridge is usable on its own but I was wrong.
The description written here for this product is not sufficient, they should have mentioned that in order to use this pen you HAVE to buy the holder because without it is is useless.
As you will see from the pictures attached, this cartridge has a plastic rollers at the bottom, so it needs to be rolled in order for the inside pen to move up and then you can use it.
Also to mention this is one TINY pen!
Quality wise of the pencil is just standard -- so you can find other brands with better offerings with above this quality.

Only OK
Actually I love the formula. It’s smooth and long lasting but the tip is too blunt and it doesn’t come with a sharpener. Also the color is too soft, not so pigmented so it’s not ideal to use as tight liner on top but good to be used on the bottom as water lines.

Hard to use
I wish I had read some of the lower rated reviews before buying this liner. I would not have purchased it. I agree it is hard to use. It seems dry and doesn't go on smoothly. I like that it has a rubber brush at the end to smooth the liner, but it doesn't work if the pencil doesn't draw a very good line. I wouldn't buy it again.

Easy to apply and great line
I have used this for a year in a number of colors and I find it draws a great line with precision. It is not overbearing/fat and the smudge works well.

A bit disappointed
I love Cle de Peau products, so I was very excited to treat myself to this eyeliner. However, this liner is very difficult to use. I have to stretch my lid and press hard to apply the color. It usually takes 4-5 passes before I have a nice line. The pencil seems dry and does not glide on. Kinda bummed!
