What it is: A lipstick that delivers long-lasting comfort in a high-end dimensional satin finish with vibrant, pure-color payoff and creamy, smudge-resistant wear.

What it does: One look, one gesture and one swipe. A new precision-tip bullet defines and contours for sculpted sophistication in 36 fearless shades, while the Luxe Comfort Complex hugs lips for lightweight, medium-to-full coverage infused with smoothing rosehip seed oil and hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture.

How to use: Use the tip of the lipstick to hug the shape of the lip line and fill top lip. Press lips together to transfer excess color to the bottom lip. Perfect and fill the bottom lip. Swipe on an additional one to two layers to intensify color for desired opacity.

unrestrained

This formula is terrible! I’m not sure about the other colors, but unrestrained is extremely patchy and way darker than expected. I’m disappointed that I spent $42 on a product I had high hopes for and won’t be able to use.

like, not love color

The color is quite different than shown. Granted, I only used one swipe of bullet on bottom lip then spread with finger for a hint of color. I guess it’s just not what I expected. Like the formula, not so much color.

Nordstrom customer service is not helpful.

I ordered this lipstick in store. When I arrived home I found that lipstick would not be ready for 11 days. I tried to cancel order but I can’t. I don’t understand how with 11 days till it arrives it can’t be cancelled. Surely it hasn’t been picked yet. Customer service just didn’t care. Oh well

I miss the old Nars

Two stars for this lip color and formula. It’s been a few years since my last Nars lip color purchase. I was hoping to replace the hot-pink ‘Schiap’ lip color which has been discontinued. So I purchased the hot-pink color ‘Provocateur’ hoping for the same color and long-wearing effect. I was wildly underwhelmed with this new pink color and the formula was not as long wearing as the ‘Audacious’ formula. No wonder I had stayed away from Nars lip colors. The two stars were generous… I don’t mind paying more for good makeup, but I could have paid $10 for a drugstore brand with longer wear.

Disappointed!

I was expecting the color shown.. but it is more brown with a yellow under tone. Disappointing. I was hoping for a rosey neutral. Back it goes!
