What it is: A mascara that creates outrageous volume, lift and curves for a false-lash effect that delivers brighter, wider and more seductive eyes.
What it does: It's formulated with Extreme Bold Volume™, a trio of three high-volume fibers in a mousse-light base that enables the mascara to act almost like lash extensions, while a Lash-Advancing Vitamin Complex conditions. An oversized Brush Comber Extreme™ features two types of bristles: flexible fibers to carry maximum formula and solid fibers to comb and separate for clump-free definition.
How to use: Beginning at the base of your lashes, wiggle the mascara brush through to the tips of your lashes. For a bolder look, apply to your lower lashes as well. Repeat to build volume if desired.

Dramatic, clean lashes
Great mascara. I am a makeup minimalist so want a few versatile products but also have very fair, straight lashes that I want to pump up. I had been using Laura Mercier and tried this at a recommendation. It creates long, thick, black lashes that are separated and natural looking because the coating seems relatively thin - when I wash my face the "raccoon eye" is much smaller than with other mascaras. Great product for feeling glam.

Brush too big & difficult to use
After 3 tries I am going to return this mascara. The product description says oversized brush and I thought that would be a plus, but it is very difficult to use. The brush is way too big to be functional, you can't get into your inner and outer lashes with it, and it's useless for your bottom lashes. I have to hold the brush vertically and only use the tip because if I try using the brush horizontally I can only coat my middle lashes. Also, no matter how carefully I apply it I end up with mascara all over my eyes and have to waste time using q-tips to clean up the mess. It doesn't give much volume and doesn't lengthen my lashes at all. It doesn't flake and removes easily with eye makeup remover, that's the only good thing I can say about it. I love Lauder's More than Mascara and Doubleware mascara, those give me volume and really lengthen my lashes and are so much easier to apply.

Surprisingly Impressed
It is very rare that I write review of anything. In fact, this is my second time. I did not like the Sumptuous Mascara and have tried everything: Dior, BadGal, Clinique, SmashBox, Laura Mercier, you name it. I find that they all have a major fault such as flaking or not doing what they advertise. Yet, I bought this mascara on a whim and was blown away. I look like a new person. My eyes look huge and I'm asian. They really pop out and everyone has commented as well. I am definitely going to keep buying this. I just hope they're not sold out, the next time I go. I know as people start trying this, this mascara will go very very fast.

Excellent "Sumptuous Extreme" Volume Mascara
I won't name names, but I bought three different volumizing mascaras to try. I had tried all the drugstore brands and been dissatisfied with clumping, no volumizing effect, or both. Applied with a light hand, Estee Lauder's "Sumptuous Extreme" Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara goes on clump-free. You can put on a couple of lightly applied coats to get a nice fullness. This won't give you a false-eyelash look, but, if you have thinning eyelashes like I have, will give you a naturally full look--"sumptuous" indeed! I love this mascara and will buy it from now on, not throwing my money away in the desperate search, as I've found the perfect product for me.

Lengthening and glossy
Compared to the original Sumptuous, this has a larger brush to give maximum impact. I find that it gives nice definition and length with one coat, and with 2 coats, it gives fluffy volume, too.
The formula is mousse-like and lightweight, and won't weight down your lashes. Additionally, it does not flake, and leaves the lashes very soft and pliable.
The Black color is a deep, dark glossy black, and the blue and violet colors are pretty without being over-the-top.
Overall, a very good mascara. My only complaint is that the brush does tend to get clumped up, so I often have to wipe it before using.

Awesome Mascara
I really like this mascara. As I get older my lashes have thinned quite a bit and then I found this mascara. I love how my lashes are longer and thicker and they remind me so much of my younger years. I will continue to buy this product!!!

Not bad
This mascara was recommended to me by a friend and it was supposed to make my eyes really pop. Well, I'd like to say it's just plain ol'mascara to me. I gave it 4 stars because overall it's great quality and doesn't clump but it doesn't really do much for the lashes. If I may say, one of my favorite mascara is Armani , "eyes to kill" (Excess)... It's the best!
