I love this product!!!
I have acne prone skin, large pores and acne scars. I purchased this product hoping it would help since I have such a hard time finding a product that will help to minimize the appearance of my pores, and I absolutely love the Idealist! I use it under my makeup every morning and get such a beautiful finish...and people have noticed the difference!!! A little goes a long way. I purchased the 1 oz. bottle and it's lasted me over three months :-)

disappointed.
i have tried estees advanced night repair serum that i got as a sample and loved it-so i decided to get a day serum from estee as well. i have combination skin that gets super super oily on my t-zone so i figured i would try idealist. bad choice. after the second or third day, i noticed my skin was started to flake around my cheeks and nose but i figured that was my skin getting "refinished" and i would wait longer to decide. then, my skin started looking kinda dull and dehydrated and i noticed little tiny bumps forming all along my tzone. kept at it still. i REALLY wanted to love this product (i think because it was kind of pricey and the smell was amazing and yes, the velvety feeling you do indeed get from it). but after another day or so, i broke out in horrible horrible cystic acne that i have not gotten in many many years. it was bad! little whiteheads popped up alongside them all over my cheeks and chin and forehead. it was a nightmare-truly. needless to say, i returned it. i have found that more expensive does not always equal better. exchanged for kiehl's products and it has worked wonders after just one day. seriously. the pore minimizing skin refinisher, i feel, works well as a makeup primer maybe. i can see why so many ppl do like it. like i said, your skin does indeed feel velvety after applying. but it just masks your face and pores and plugs them up with silicone so your pores arent visible-doesnt do any "refinishing". the pores are still there, just hiding under thick silicone. ive read on a lot of reviews that many girls love the feeling it gives them in the moment, but after washing off or skipping a few days of using, notice that their skin is right back to where they started. i want a product that actually nourishes my skin and prevents future damage and gives me a glowy look. this is not the product.

Best 'non' primer
For years my Estee Lauder rep has told me that Idealsit isn't a primer...even before primers were the rage. I've tried all the top true 'primers' from Laura Mercier, Smashbox, MUFU...and I still come back to Idealist, which isn't even marketed as a primer. It diminishes by pores and makes my dry skin appear smooth, my make-up stays...love it.

Pores are almost all gone!
I am 52 years old & I have NEVER had issues with enlarged pores. But I’m the last 4-6 months? BAM! Pores are EVERYWHERE! I bought this because I have tried every last pore minimizing primer, cheap & luxury, without ANY success.
My pores on my cheek near my nose is almost all gone & my nose pores are visible but are improved. I might need a more intense treatment that’s medical grade to fix these! Lol
I use a different serum at night but use this serum in my am skin care routine before I put make up on. It’s different than any other serums I’ve used in the past. Most serums are very liquidity & smooths easily over the skin in very small amounts. With this product it’s a little thicker & I have to use 2 pumps for my entire face. It also does not seem to rub in easily like other serums.
I will buy this again. It’s a keeper!

Really works !!!
I received a sample and tried it before spending the big $$ on this product.. I have super sensitive skin and extremely oily with large pores in t-zone. With a touch of rosacea. Well I was quite surprise how nice this product worked. It didn't make me break out at all, or irritate skin. I apply before powder foundation. Really does make pores seem smaller and skin looks smooth almost flawless. I didn't find it to clog pores either. It does control oil better too. I blot my skin now once a day since using this product, before it I was blotting 3-4 times in a 8 hour work day. My advice is to try a sample of it first.

An Absolute Miracle
AMAZING! I cannot say enough about this product. I have combination skin and moisturizers & serums are often too heavy and they make me break out. Not to mention it's impossible to find a product for that in-between age skin (I want to prevent those wrinkles before I ever get them!). This stuff makes my skin smooth and clear and absolutely radiant! Pores just fade into the distance! I saw a noticeable improvement in about a week, and after 3 weeks the change was just amazing. I'm so very happy with it... highly recommend!
