Double Wear Stay In Place Matte Powder Foundation

This foundation does not give the coverage my bad skin needs like the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation I use when I have plenty of time but it has two other characteristics which more than make up for that (pun unintended): (1) I can apply it on my way to work (when I use public transportation -- which I often do). This saves me a valuable quarter of an hour every workday morning. (2) Unlike every other foundation I have used in my long life, this one does not seem to contribute to break-outs at all.

I’ve been using this powder for almost 5 years, no primer, no liquid double wear just the powder and every once in awhile I will try a different brand because I get bored and want something new right? Nope! Nothing can compare or outrun this amazing double wear powder. Happy happy customer, wears so well on my skin. I highly recommend!!

I have been using this amazing powder for so many years it’s unbelievable. Every time I switch away to something else I come back. It works on both young skin and older skin like mine. I always apply it with a brush not the sponge that they give you. It also can work well as a foundation if you damp in the sponge and use it. It is just the perfect light dusting if you don’t want to wear heavy foundation. Occasionally I switch the color from summer to winter. But this color seems to be amazing on many skin types. Every time a friend tries it they end up buying it. I would recommend it highly. When I put it on it covers up minor flaws and does not look powdery or chalky at all.

I am using Estée Lauder Double wear more than 11 years . It’s only one product I will buy . I tried all expensive and not expensive brands but this is the best powder ever . Skin look super natural and you look very gorgeous!! If you wake up and don’t like yourself in the mirror (we all have those moments) this product will do a magic for you . Use foundation and powder and you are look fresh and fabulous! Highly recommend you to try and get in love .

I’m an ICU nurse who works 12+ hour shifts, and have oily skin. *Even before* the pandemic and constant mask-wearing, I’d struggled to find a foundation with staying power. Literally the best foundation I’d ever found was Covergirl’s Ready, Set, Gorgeous powder foundation. I received soooo many compliments while wearing it, it didn’t cause breakouts (which many drugstore foundations tend to do to me), and it held up to my oily skin and my long shifts. But, that foundation was discontinued a few years ago. And I’ve tried many dozens of foundations since then. I had largely settled on the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick and the Estée Lauder Double Wear liquid foundation…until the pandemic set in. The constant wearing of, and switching between, surgical and N95 masks took off basically all of the makeup from my nose down. And I‘ve spent about 25 of my 36 years on this earth being too insecure to go into public without at least foundation. So I finally tried this powder version of Double Wear, and it has been my makeup hero! This looks gorgeous, and not powdery, going on my freshly washed/toned/primed skin. It takes no time to build up to medium-to-full coverage. And it takes several hours for the oil to start peeking through (for most other foundations, it takes a max of 30 minutes for that to happen). If you look very closely at my skin in the middle of a shift, you can see where the makeup is starting to rub off from the masks/mask switching. But it’s not super-obvious, and it’s very easily touched up for the rest of the shift with a couple of swipes of the sponge (and the sponge that comes with this foundation is wonderful). This foundation even holds up to the massive amount of sweat that can pour out from the physical labor that the job can entail (such as splitting time with one other person doing chest compressions for 30-60 minutes). I still prefer the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick for my days off of work. It just looks a bit more natural/skin-like. But, nothing beats this foundation for what I need it to do while I’m at work!
