Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eyeliner Pencil

I like this eyeliner because it's so soft and goes on smoothly and quickly. It does stay on all day, however, because it's so soft, it does sometimes smear under my eyes a bit. Easily fixed and a small price to pay for the soft application. I am a middle aged women and appreciate the gentleness to my eyelids. I am also blonde with light eyes so I've been buying the "coffee" color because it has no red tones to the color. While I wish the color was a shade lighter, I am happy to have found a brown liner with no red tones as the light color of my eyes, makes any red-eye really noticeable...hence, I always avoid brown eyeliners with a red/brown tone. My eyes are very sensitive to a lot of make up, but no problems with this liner. Finally, the tip of the liner has never broken during application or sharpening. It's a plastic cased liner, as opposed to wood, so sharpening is a bit harder on arthritic hands, but not too hard and so worth it as there is no wasted break off. It's a generous length and lasts much longer than other liners I've purchased.

I have been buying these pencils for years. Love the colors and the quality. I purchased my most recent pencil in coffee about a month ago. Again, love the color and the staying power. Unfortunately, Estee Lauder has changed the composition so that a standard makeup pencil sharpener no longer works. Being forced into buying the $9 exclusive EL sharpener is annoying when my other sharpeners work perfectly for every other pencil in my makeup drawer. If the new design is so much better, they should include a new sharpener with the purchase of the pencil rather than essentially raising the price by forcing an overpriced accessory. I am disappointed in my long time favorite EL.
