Essentials Diamond Cargo Shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts and really well constructed, and fabric seems high quality, but they just didn’t work for my teen as they were too thick and heavy. The sizing runs a bit large, even the smallest size was too big around the waist and legs, which made them look and feel oversized. The bigger issue, though, was the fabric. The material is thick, stiff, and surprisingly heavy for a pair of shorts. My son didn’t find them comfortable and said they felt more like winter pants that were cut off at the knees. These might work better for an older teen or adult who prefers a looser, heavier style, but for an my son, especially in hot weather, they just weren’t practical. Seems like they would meet a particular fashion niche, but not for everyone.

The quality of the material and stitching is superb and makes them worth the price. The design of these shorts is perfect for streetwear, and they complement any Nike sneakers. However, I would opt for a light pair of shorts on a hot day since the material is thick and not the most breathable. One thing I wish I could change is the size of the pockets. They are not very deep which makes it difficult to fit a phone, wallet, and keys in them. Overall, I think these shorts are great, and I really like the endless possibilities they provide me to up my summer wardrobe.

What I liked most was the style and how easy they are to pair with other Jordan pieces. That said… the fabric is not for all-day wear. It’s somewhat stiff and not super breathable, so after a few hours, I was ready to switch into something comfier. Also took the inner drawstring out—lowkey didn’t need it, just got in the way. Legs are a little wide too, not a dealbreaker but the extra fabric gets in the way when walking Overall: love the look, just wish they felt better for long wear. If comfort’s your top priority, might want to skip these. Still a solid pick if you're going for the look.
