Essential Check-In L 30-Inch Wheeled Suitcase

I was super excited about this suitcase. I’ve heard great things about the company & products. Unfortunately, I’m thoroughly disappointed that after a month of travel, the hard case broke in the middle of suitcase upon being retrieved from the airport baggage claim in Seattle airport. I’ve now not been able to use my thousand dollar suitcase because of this. I travel so much (hence why I spent to so much in the first place thinking it will be a worthy investment) that it’s a pain to have to send it back, & wait weeks for it to be fixed then sent back to me. At first the company was going to charge ME to send it out to be fixed, “per their policy,” but after explaining I’ve only had it for a few trips & not even two months I shouldn’t have to pay “X amount” of dollars to send my brand new suitcase to get fixed anyways… they agreed & gave me the label to send it to them. Still not happy about it as I travel too much to even get it fixed at this moment. I will say, the way the suitcase ROLLS is immaculate… although My Samsonite suitcase seemed to have held up a lot longer until the wheel broke on me after almost 2 years of HEAVY use… buy at your own risk, but definitely can’t say this product is worth the price point.

I am a loyal Tumi fan for over 10 years. I recently purchased Large Essential Rimowa Slate color for my trip to South America because I only wanted to take one check in luggage without getting charge overweight fee as I am not a minimalist when it comes to packing. This Rimowa luggage is lighter compared to the same size Tumi lightweight luggage I own. I’m so surprise how smooth and effortless this luggage to handle. I am planning to purchase the Essential Trunk (not Trunk Plus) for my next trip to Asia. I hope Nordstrom will carry the Trunk size in Green in the near future. This luggage converted me becoming a loyal Rimowa fan.
