What it is: A fragrance centered on Ambroxan™, a sensual amber molecule with a clean mineral freshness, together with green jasmine bud (hedione) and a sparkling gin and tonic accord.
Fragrance story: Shift the spectrum of your reality with the basking golden tangerine of Escentric 02. Ambroxan has a subtle sensual quality with a radiant, long-lasting drydown. Escentric 02 contains 13.5% Ambroxan in a formula designed to amplify its mineral note with hedione (green jasmine bud), a 'gin and tonic' accord and a hint of the Austrian lemonade called almdudler. Perfumer Geza Schoen describes the final effect as "super-longlasting freshness into the drydown, with a subtle sensuality."

Fresh & long lasting scent - great in summer
I tried this on by accident having been on the lookout for Molecule 02, which is just ambroxan.
I have to say I am quite surprised by the bad reviews on this one. A super fresh and long lasting scent, it is quite unique whilst the ambroxan stays right at the back acting mostly as an accompaniment. It does creep out a bit more in the dry down but without losing the freshness as such.
The lack of marketing and a proper name make this a hard scent to decide when to wear it but it is through and through a summer scent.
The hedione reminds me of original, unadulterated Eau Sauvage which was one of the first to use the molecule back in the 60s. It works really well here and blends superbly in the composition.
All in all not a half bad scent. Ultra fresh and sparkly, never overpowering and totally wearable by just about anyone. What's not to like?

Not for me
I got the sample with my purches, this the second scnet form the brand and I truly don't understand the hype. For me that scent smells like nothing specyfic, it is hard to decribe it as when I use it, you can feel something, but you can't tell any specyfic notes. It might be great for layering, but it is very disappointing on its own. Be careful because this one stains white clothes.

Nice but doesn't last
I love amber perfumes so assumed this would be right up my street; the amber note does come through on me but it isn't as warm as many other amber fragrances - personally I prefer a warmer scent, but this does feel fitting for warm weather if you want something fresher. My issue is that it doesn't last at all; amber scents can dry down to a more skin scent, but this just disappears. Disappointing given the price point.

Fresh
This was another sample that i obtained in a discovery set. Its an interesting concept as the perfume smells different on each user. I found this one more of a clean fresh smell …a long the lines of philosophy pure. It would be ideal for hot weather as not overpowering.

Not my favourite from the range
I absolutely adore Escentric 01 and it is one of my fragrances I wear all the time. I think of it as more of a winter fragrance sowss hoping this might be a little lighter and zingier for me to wear outside of winter. It is, but i prefer the 01 and have gone back to that (just applying less!).

I got this perfume in this year perfume advent calendar and I was pretty keen to try this perfume as I previously tried other scents which this brand has to offer except this scent. I usually really enjoy fresh type of scents but for this one I thought it was somewhat overpowering. I probably would not reach for this when it is very hot but for colder months this should be nice

Something different
I received this in the Space NK fragrance calender and having tried a few of the Escentric Molecule scents (No 1 and N5) I was curious to try this one. I enjoyed it but wouldn't rush out and buy it again . I found it lasted quite well,at times I would think it had wore off and then I would get a whiff of it again.With so many lovely perfumes around it's hard to make it to the repeat but list..
