Hampton Squishee^® Sun Hat

These Eric Javits hats are beautiful. Excellent quality and this "Hampton" Straw Sun Hat has the perfect fit and perfect brim. I originally bought a similar Javits which I returned because the brim was just a little too wide for my height (5'5") and frame. I then purchased two of these "Hampton", one in Peanut and one in Black. I wore the "Peanut" to lunch with a pair of jeans, white tee shirt and Navy Blue Blazer with a pair of "peanut" colored Tod shoes (purchased from Nordstrom) and carried a same color shoulder bag. The restaurant owner stopped me on the way out and asked if I would appear on a local TV food channel segment that was about to be produced featuring his restaurant. He said, "We love the hat!" If you are nervous about wearing a hat in public, stiffen and your spine and go for it. There's something about wearing one that will make you walk a little taller and find the "model" inside you. The quality of Eric Javits hats is seen as soon as you take it out of the box. These hats should last a lifetime with proper care. I stuff the crowns and bag them as soon as they are "aired" after taking them off. They don't pinch the forehead and are very comfortable.

I can tell you how long I have been searching for a great quality Sun hat that is small enough to fit my head and the brim is a flattering length for my petite facial features. All the other hats I’ve tried don’t come close. It stays on my head, even in windy conditions. It’s a pretty penny, but it is most definitely worth it

I'm petite and finding the perfect floppy hat is a challenge. The 4" brim on this hat was perfect for the amount of floppiness, but the body of the hat was too square and tall. Not sure if mine was just a defect because I've tried on the same hat in the store and it looked great. The material is super soft. If this is affordable for the price per wear, then go for it, otherwise pass.

I can’t believe I walked into Nordstrom and just dropped this much money on a….hat. However after years of searching for the right one, never being satisfied, I just said F it, this is THE ONE. It fit my small head perfectly and has the most amazing shape. Even days later I feel zero guilt or remorse. JUST DO IT!
