Equipment
Equipment was born out of the ready-to-wear fashion world of the '70s: minimalist, menswear-inspired designs for the modern woman. Relaunched in 2010, the label has kept true to its roots, crafting simple yet sophisticated tops, dresses and more out of the finest silk, cashmere and cotton. Clean silhouettes, feminine accents and an array of prints keep pieces timeless yet fresh.

Perfect BUT -- Slim Signature style
If you're familiar with Equipment Signature tops, you know there are two styles: Signature and Slim Signature. I thought this item was the Signature style (known for being oversized almost to the point of too big), but it's actually the Slim Signature, which is cut a bit closer to the body. Really glad I ordered my normal size in addition to a size down -- I ended up keeping my normal size (Medium, I'm 5'8", 150 pounds) after finding out this is the Slim Signature style. That aside, this top exceeds expectations. The silk is substantial and drapes beautifully. Perfect for wearing with blazers and cardigans, and even better on sale!

poor quality
Equipment sleeveless shirt is thin and the collar is not stiff for the crisp polish look I am looking for. Don’t bother.

Problems
I ordered two of these shirts in different colors. I have many long sleeve Equipment shirts and love them. I got the right size, small. They hang beautifully and the colors are gorgeous as I've found all Equipment shirts. But the armholes are HUGE. You would have to wear a cami under to look decent. And one of the shirts has armholes very different in size. Definitely a quality issue which disappoints me in this brand and in Nordstrom. I am going to keep the shirts because I love the color and drape, but will have both of them altered in order to wear them. Very disappointing, especially in an item priced this high.

Nice shirt but sheer
This is a nice shirt, well-made, and the silk is soft but it is too sheer for my comfort. Although the pockets cover a crucial area, the rest is just too sheer and it needs a cami underneath. To me, a sleeveless shirt in a lightweight fabric is for summer and I don't want the added layer of a cami or tank. Unfortunately I sent it back.

Slim Signature, Not Signature
This is the "slim signature" shirt, not the "signature" shirt which is much looser. So don't go by your size in the "signature" style, or it will be too small.

Attention to Detail
Equipment clothes have an issue with consistency. I love this shirt but I had to return and order another one because the armholes were different sizes. One was at least 1 and 1/2 inches bigger than the other. I'm not into showing my bra so I want my clothing to hide my underwear. The other problem is that Two by Vince is selling a similar shirt but not in this color for about half the price. I love the color so I hope the reorder comes with even sized armholes. I had a similar experience with cashmere sweaters by Equipment. I liked the orange one so I ordered green and blue but they came with much bigger crew necks than the orange one. I kept them because they were double mark down in price and they probably aren't availalble anymore but Equipment should take note. I'm probably going to avoid their brand unless I really like something.

Great basic, brand runs large
Equipment delivers as usual with their beautiful, soft silk material. The blouse is basic yet modern as well. My main complaint with the brand is that their shirts tend to run large. I understand that the style should be blousy, but it goes a bit beyond that. Since the shirt runs big, the armholes are large as well, so an undershirt or bandeau top is a must so your bra doesn't show. Even so, the sizing isn't ridiculous to the point I had to return it. I just try my best to tuck and hide the extra material well.
