Elsey Sleeveless Jacquard Shift Dress

I purchased this dress in both pink and navy because I admired its simple lines and the rolled ruffle collar, both in my usual Lilly medium size. The navy dress fits well and is a keeper, but the pink dress has gaps at the button closure and is also a much brighter pink than the appearance online. Since I’ve passed my return date, it will sadly remain hanging in my closet. I’ll be ordering the Rosee Shift in pink muse, which appears to be a more subtle pink compared to the conch shell pink of the Elsey.

I really like this dress but I took off one star because the thread which holds the lining down at the hem was too short, resulting in puckering on the side. I decided to just clip off those threads and then the dress hung correctly, but I'm thinking some people might be bothered by that and it is for sure a flaw in the sewing of the dress, which is unusual for Lilly. That being said, it's still very flattering and forgiving, so I'm pleased.

Love this dress for a beach spring wedding. You can dress it up or down a bit. I’m a few months postpartum and this fits so well. The fabric is great because it’s not too heavy or too light. I think the coverage is also very flattering. I’m 5”2 and about 130lbs. I originally got a small and it fit OK but ended up going down to XS. It comes down to right above my knee or so. Classy and quality.

This dress was perfect for our spring Beach vacation! Fit is true to size and flattering, length is perfect with Lilly's gold low wedge sandals or flat sandals. The blue color is so pretty and flattering. The dress did not wrinkle at all in the suitcase. I wish it came in more solid colors! I am 50+ and prefer Lilly's dresses in solids rather than prints. For size reference, I am usually a size 6 and purchased this dress in Small. It's a classic dress that I will wear for several summers!
