Odd look
Very disappointed with these. The top is very flimsy and the sides look odd. There are wrinkles that appear as soon as my foot goes in.

The most comfiest shoe ever!!
I bought these shoes to replace my previously bought Nike's. I'd try the Ellipse on through my run club & then decided to stick with "my normal brand" big mistake!! Went back to the Ellipse, now have Zero regrets!!!

Good to go after removing tongue gusset band
The Ellipse is comfortable, soft ride. I got the 4E width. The size and fit is described on theNB website as designed for those with very wide feet, high arches, and very high foot height (this is me for sure). All good, except the tongue of the shoe is tied down on each side with elastic gussets that make the shoe too tight for my high arches. I cut out the elastic gusset bands and now the shoe fits well, and BTW the tongue stays in place.... like every other running shoe I've ever worn since the 70's. So all good now, but who decided gusseted tongues were necessary?
