Embroidered Floral Fit & Flare Dress

the dress fit poorly...neck bulged/didn't lie flat and the midsection didn't fit well either. just an odd fit

I knew I would love or hate this dress when it arrived. I tried it on and it is so gorgeous. I took the sizing suggestion and ordered a size 8 rather than my usual 6. IT'S PERFECT. The neckline is so flattering and the tucks at the waist are beautiful. I'm long waisted and the tucks start high so it highlights the waist but not in an ill-fitting way. I can't wait to wear this dress. It's one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever had. I didn't realize it from the photo, but the dress is covered in a tulle fabric which gives it interesting texture but is soft and drapes well. It's also not too short -- which so many of the dresses seem to be. Can you tell I like it? :)

I love this dress and got it to wear to a wedding shower for my son. Fits great and the material is so comfortable. The length was longer on me which I like. Right about mid knee.

Very pretty dress, but the arms are so narrow that I could not even it the dress on completely.

The positive: I love the colour. I would have loved it even more had it been the more muted version of the photographs -- it is more like the more saturated colour photo of the model with dark hair with her hands behind her back I also love the idea of the dress. The negative: My tape measure measurements are as follows: bust: 34inches; waist: 24 inches; hips: 37inches on a good day, over 40 on a bad day. Today is an in between day. !'m 5'5" and weigh 115lbs today. I ordered the size 2 and the size 4. Previous commenters are right that this dress would be fantastic for extreme pear shape people (I think I'm a pear myself but evidently not extreme enough!). The hips on these dresses are huge. There is a lot of excess fabric, such that the middle section does not lie flat but (as someone else said) appears to flare out from the top of the middle section instead of from the true waist. I don't think it looks as bad as that makes it sound, but I do think that the dark-haired model in the photo must be holding a significant chunk of the dress behind her back to make the shape look the way it does in that photo. Either that or the dress is inconsistent from dress to dress. But my two sizes both have that issue. OTOH, even with that issue, the dress is still beautiful. I haven't decided which, if either, to keep yet. The 2 has less of the extra hip fabric and hits as the right length for my preference. The 4 hangs more straight, which I like, because it is bigger, but OTOH it is a bit too long, being only just above my knees, and of course I am swimming in it from the waist down. True to size top half; large hips. If you have very large hips compared to your top half, this dress will look INCREDIBLE on you. The hip measurements given in the size chart are much smaller than the reality of the dress so my advice would be to risk choosing a size that might be a slightly smaller hip measurement than your hips are per the tape measure.

A posh, tailored look on the hanger. Sadly, the skirt had a ridiculous amount of volume with waist too high but too low to be empire. If I had ordered a smaller size I don't think the arms/bust would have fit.
