Embellished Tiered Chiffon Halter Gown

While on my LONG and exhausting search for my "mother of the bride" dress, as soon as I saw this lovely gown I had a strong feeling it would be the one. I ordered it in the champagne and coral colors, and when I tried on the coral gown I was in love!!!! This gown really makes you feel like a princess!! It is so light and flowy and the color is gorgeous!! The whole day of my daughter's Sept. 14, 2014 wedding, all of our guests kept telling me how "stunning" I looked and that just reaffirmed how I felt!!! I have to say a huge thank you to Nordstrom's, as I ordered MANY dresses from them during my search, and their service is outstanding!! I will definitely be doing all of my shopping here as their shipping and return service is unbeatable!!!!!

This will probably be the bridesmaids dress in my sisters wedding! So beautiful, elegant, and looks good on anyone! My sister and her bridesmaids all live in different cities but Nordstrom makes it so easy for us to all get a chance to try on the dresses!

I originally found this dress in a Nordstrom store in the animal print and was able to try it on. I loved the fit and style, but the print seemed a little too inappropriate for a formal evening wedding. I was happy when I saw that it was available online and in several solid colors, so I ordered it in the coral tone and absolutely love it! Most long dresses I order are way too long (I am 5ft-5in), and I didn't want to have to deal with getting it hemmed. The length of this dress was perfect for me as it just skimmed the ground in my bare feet, and in heels it looks much like it shows in the picture: about 3 or so inches from the ground. I am in my mid-50's, and this dress provided just the right coverage without being too dowdy. It is forgiving in the hip and tummy area and is very flattering.

A beautiful dress. I wore it to a wedding. I was not a bridesmaid, but related to the groom, so stood up several times to address the attendees, was in many formal bridal pictures and needed something that would fit in with the bridesmaids. Extremely flatterly. Hid my tummy well. Accentuated the postives and hide the negatives expertly. The beaded neckline was tastefully and really made the dress stunning. The negatives: My hair was worn down and really got tangled in the beadwork. By the end of the evening, the hair at the nape of my neck was a tangled mat. I asked trusted sources (my mother) and nobody could tell this was going on because I have a lot of hair and the hair on top covered all that. I might advise wearing your hair up with this dress, though. I thought I'd be able to wear a bra with the dress, but needlessly in my opinion there is a back slit running up the bodice of the dress, such that I think it would be very difficult to wear a bra. Maybe you could get away with a halter strap bra. Now, the dress does come with true bra cups and clearly the intention is that you wouldn't wear a bra. My cup size is a D and I would prefer to have more choice in that department, but I went ahead and went braless. The bra cups worked well and so everything was fine in the end. In part I chose this dress because I thought I'd be able to wear a bra with it. That didn't pan out, but it was still fine. Oh, the fit was true to size. I ordered 3 sizes, just to be safe, but in the end, it was my usual size that fit the best. So, in sum, a beautiful dress. Some hiccups with it that didn't affect the event.

I purchased this dress for my brothers wedding and was so excited to wear it. The color was beautiful and it fit perfectly. Right before the reception the zipper in the back completely got off the track, except for at the very top. After struggling in the bathroom for 20 minutes with my sister trying to fix the zipper I had to resort to sticking 8 safety pins along the zipper to keep it shut...and it looked terrible. I don't know why they would make such a beautiful dress and put a cheap plastic zipper on it. Will be demanding a refund.

I got this dress in ORCHID for my daughter's spring outdoor wedding. I love it! The orchid is just dark enough to have a mature look. Hard to find a dress for MOB that doesn't look frumpy, boring, like grandma, or like you are trying to look too young. Ordered my usual size 12 and it fits perfectly except for the length. Will have to shorten a bit, even though I am wearing heels. I am 5'5". The beadwork is beautiful on the neckline, and I love the flow of the skirt. The extra layer on the skirt hides the imperfections. Will be a great dress to dance in as it is very comfortable!
