Elani Embroidered Cotton Midi Dress

The potential is there, but they missed the mark on several points. Color is not ivory, it’s almost pale yellow. The fabric is a gauze/linen and very uncomfortable. It runs slightly small only because it has no stretch. It came incredibly wrinkled and took forever to straighten out with steamer. The print is beautiful.

The pattern was very pretty but the material was very stiff. For me sizing was off. I’m 5’2 bust 36 DD, size M fit perfectly everywhere but was extremely tight in bust. I exchanged for a L, which fit perfectly around the bust but was oversized everywhere else and the sleeves were huge. I ended up returning.

First the positives, this dress fits beautifully, well constructed and lined, tailored bodice and waist and a flowing skirt. The embroidery is really lovely. Flattering fit. The negative is the fabric, it is a rough cotton and not sure if it will soften with a wash. I cannot find washing instructions on a tag. It also arrived completely wrinkled, and that really bugged me at this price point. At least steam your dresses prior to shipping so that they are wearable on arrival. Clearly had never been steamed. I am undecided if it should go back.

This is the perfect dress for spring and summer. Can be dressed up with heels or down with flats and a straw bag. Runs slightly tight across the chest but the rest of the dress is perfect. Love that it has pockets too. The color is true cream and black. Not the almost white it looks like in the picture. Love it!
