Loose fitting, nice details
I like the detailing on this nightgown. It's more voluminous than I would normally choose, and than it looks in the photo, but it's very pretty, particularly peeking out from under my lacey robe. I got my normal size, and I don't think I'd want to size down, but it's a lot more material than a typical nightshirt.

Eileen West quality seems to have declined a bit
The knit seemed too thin on this gown and different from other Eileen West modal nightgowns I've bought in the past -- kind of too stretchy and clingy and potentially a little hot to wear. Also, it wasn't as generously cut as other Eileen West gowns I have, and the black was kind of grayish -- not deep and rich in tone at all. The lace wasn't so nice either and the ruffle at the hem was kind of skimpy. I'd be okay with that as I'd just as soon have a simple hem, but adding it to the other issues, I returned the gown. It also had a bit of a chemical smell, probably the dyes used, but I don't really know the answer there. All I know is it was off putting.

simple with nice details
Soft fabric with nice frill details. It is not thin or see thru. Holds up in wash - delicate in laundry bag. Expensive for the item but I can my clothes for a long time when the item has quality. This feels like it will last.
