lovely but not for me

Everything about this dress was perfect on me EXCEPT for the hemline and the length. I'm not wild about handkerchief hems but would have accepted this one if the dress had not been so very short on me in the middle of the front and back where it was above my knees (and I'm not very tall). I loved the weight of the silk, just a few ounces for the dress -- it would be great for packing. And I loved the neckline. But, had to return it.

Mother of the Groom Casual Beach Wedding

Choosing this dress was a huge decision! It fits perfectly, looks great and feels like a celebration. I am going to my son's wedding wrapped in style and filled with joy.

Quite Lovely

Though it's difficult to tell from the photo, this is a surprisingly well-tailored dress. The high princess seams, the shallow v-neck, and the slight inward cut of the sleeves all work together to flatter the figure. The skirt skims the hips down to a handkerchief hem -- perfect for dancing! But the best thing about the dress? Pockets! They're hidden on front panel seams The dress is extremely well made, but a bit sheer -- plan on wearing a 20" half slip and a racer back bra. When wearing out at night, don't limit yourself to a cropped sweater as a wrap -- my EF cropped moto jacket looks smashing paired with this fab dress.

lovely but not for me

Lovely dress

This dress is comfortable and pretty. I needed to have the armholes taken in as well as the side seams, because it seems to be made for a rather flat chested woman. An extra small would have been great except in the bust. It comes with a side zipper, which I am going to have removed, as it doesn't seem necessary. I will wear this for my daughters wedding rehearsal dinner, and I think it will be perfect. Requires a halter type bra as normal straps show at the narrow shoulders.

So-so quality, loose threads ...

This is a great dress, in terms of style and fabric, but the quality is really not that good for the price. I own two of these. The threads were exposed and seams were done poorly on the first one, so I ordered another and it was no better. I was disappointed but kept one of them anyway. ... I usually expect and receive better quality from Eileen Fisher ... That said, I still enjoy the dress. I just think it won't last that long and will require extra care during cleaning, etc. Disappointing for the price. If you want this, you may want to try and get it on sale ....
