Stretch Silk Shell Top

Light weight, but not sheer, even in the Papyrus. Shorter, but not cropped. Washes well in cold water on the gentle cycle (.both top and skirt); hang dry, pleats remain and no wrinkles. Material has a slight sheen. The Papyrus color is a light sand, almost a champagne …bright white makes it appear dirty, an off white/beige, or even a black macramé jacket might be a better paring. Arm hole not gaping. I don’t think this top is way oversized.

I got the matching skirt as well and although the fabric is floaty and gorgeous, I am really unhappy with how unlike the photo representations the actual color is - papyrus is nowhere near an ivory-champagne or parchment. It's more like silt or a light taupey stone or possibly gruel and not universally flattering as a color - at least I'm not sure it works with my skintone. Really wish it were paler. I don't *want* to return but I may need to. Getting kind of sick of this overexposed photo roulette. :( Good luck!

I was looking for a new silk shell to match the bone colored silk pants that was not see-through. This Papyrus silk top coordinates beautifully with the bone silk pants and sheer silk Georgette wrap. The color difference between the shell and the salt pants along with the texture of the shell add interest to the outfit. The arm holes on the shell are generous, but not oversized as they can sometimes be. The cropped length is fine to wear over the silk pants. I love the silk pieces because they are so lightweight and pack well in my carry-on for travel. I buy size small from Eileen Fisher and this small also fit true to size.
