Funnel Neck Cap Sleeve Top

This is the second time I'm purchasing this piece in the color fig. I bought the first one when it just came out and I loved the way it fit me. But the fabric started to disintegrate only after one washing. It developed tiny vertical holes all over and more recently I noticed that there was a visible hole in the middle of the piece even though I have not worn it for a while due to the disintegrating fabric. Because I love this so much in the fig color, I just bought another one on sale and am hoping that this will replace my previous piece and will last for a bit longer, though this is probably a wishful thinking. Either the tencel or the elastin in the fabric is causing it to disintegrate over time. Strange that the dress and the pants in the same fabric have endured better - they are my go-to travel pieces and they have laundered well. I am writing this long review because I am hoping Eileen Fisher will continue to experiment and offer similar pieces in the future that are classic and sustainable, will travel well and be durable over the years - it's a tall ask, I know, but then I think a company like Eileen Fisher should be in a position to be challenged by consumers to do this.
