My goto work uniform
I have this pant in 4 colors and this pant paired with a sweater or tunic is pretty much my goto work uniform for spring, summer and fall. I am an 18W in NYDJ and the 1X is body skimming but not too tight. Some things that I really like about this pant:
1. Easy pullon style with no pockets or fasteners makes for a slimmer line in plus sized ladies.
2. True black color that doesn't seem to fade.
3. Easy wash in cold, line dry and steam out a wrinkle or two if necessary.
Are these expensive, yes. Are they worth it, yes for me since they are my no fuss work uniform. I normally wear this style at least three times per week. I am not always a fan of eileen fisher's tops, but her bottoms are win for plus sized ladies.

way too expensive to be more sheer than my PJs!
The fit was fine. But even before I tried them on, I knew it was doomed. I took them out of the box just now and I could see the pants were of a thin material and I could see through them when holding them up to the light. Hoping for a miracle I tried them on anyway. The thin material was fantastic (just what you want for summer and a travel), the fit was good (I got the 3X), they felt good, but I could not only see my underwear through them, I could also make out a red scar I have on my buttcheek from an injury last year. They're THAT sheer. I did not pay nearly $200 for pants I can't even wear as PJs around the house. Will be returning ASAP and buying the EF white jeans in hopes of a more appropriate piece of clothing.

My Favorite Pant
I have worn the ankle pant for years. They are my favorite go to pant. I am 5'2" and the length is a perfect pant length (no hemming needed). Love the fabric and comfort. They keep their shape and come out of a suitcase looking great.

The only pants for me!
As a professional working woman, I preferred dresses and skirts with matching tops. My legs were shapely and I confess to appreciating admiring glances .
Unfortunately, illness made it impossible for me to use the stairs any longer. As my back bent further over, my height went from 5'3" to 4'11". Being bent that much meant all my dresses and skirts began to drag on the floors in the front and hike up in the back. Not a pretty sight at all.
My search for pants began and it was complicated by my driving being limited to my town, located in rural southwest Virginia. Malls? What malls? Online it was with Nordstrom being my favorite. How can you beat free shipping even on returns? I knew then that you get what you pay for, but I balked at Eileen Fischer's prices.
Then one day I discovered a pair of leggings at a price I considered reasonable, as well as a pair of crepe ankle pants on sale. I bought both. The leggings were a perfect fit, however I can no longer stand any cloth that squeezes my legs. But happy day - they looked wonderful on my daughter! Just in time for her early December birthday!
The ankle length crepe pants were the perfect pants for me. With their shorter inseam, they worked. No hemming! The design of the pants is so flattering, my apple belly looks smaller. A lot! What magician designed these pants? Even my behind is flattered. One pair is simply not enough. I want one more pair of black ankle length crepe pants size 1X - on sale! Alas, not yet! Not on Black Friday, nor Online cyber Monday. Soon I hope, soon. Perhaps before Christmas? Or after? I must practice patience, but I will have one more pair to keep me comfortable through the four seasons, stylish as I add my tunics, tops, and tees. Topped off, if needed by my cardigans, wraps, and other jackets through the year. Thank you, Eileen Fischer for leading me straight into your collections. BTW, I like reds, too, and have my eyes on a top I had missed in my earlier searching. Must you? Really! As if I didn't have enough temptation already? Thank you so much! Paulette Banks Johnson

sharp looking pants
I think the pants run a little large. I purchased a 1X and I could have possibly gotten an XL. Launder great.

Eileen Fisher Bone Pants
Have worn Eileen Fisher's straight bone pants for years now. Much prefer full length straight pant to ankle pant, but Nordstrom hasn't offered straight pant in bone for several years now. Tried this one as an option, but not everyone can or should wear ankle or crop pants. Nordstrom, please consider a straight pant option in bone for regular sizes. Thanks.
