Classic Organic Cotton Shirt Jacket

It's awesome. Nice weight to it. Slightly slimming. Can be worn open or closed. Looks beautiful on. I'm 5'6 140, 34 ddd and got a medium blk. Quarter inch drop on the shoulders slightly roomy for you large bust. Typical I wear large but that would have been too big. I am going to get sooo much use out of it. Organic 100% cotton is a must have! Fisher knows what is up!

I have a few shirt jackets from EF's collection last year, so I questioned myself re why I would buy another one. But I decided to take a chance on it, and I am so glad that I did. First, the fabric is lovely -- medium weight with a soft, almost velvety nap and a beautiful drape. I usually wear size L in EF tops, so I ordered that and it fits perfectly. I chose black, and it is a deep, soft shade of black. The buttons are a wonderful styling accent, and it is easy to work them in and out of the button holes. This shirt jacket is something that can be styled in so many ways and for so many seasons. It is also very slimming. Highly recommend!

This is a second purchase of this item. I already own it in black, and have found it a well cut, basic wardrobe piece. It washes well and I can pop it in the dryer for about 3 minutes, then hang to dry, smoothing it down with my hands … no ironing needed. This has become an increasingly rare feature in EF clothing, but it’s very important with our busy lifestyles (and I’m a retired grandmother!). Haven’t worn this one yet, but picked it up on sale to pair with white in the summer.

This a beautiful garrment, lovely substantial fabric in a great neutral color with an elegance that accompanies its casualness. But with it comes a problem that I'm recently experiencing with Eileen Fisher plus sizes--the sleeves are one wash away from risking bracelet length, while the body is long and flowing. I'm 5' 6 1/2" inches, and my arms are slightly longer than average for my height, but EF long sleeved shirts have always been long enough until the past couple of years.
