Track 25 Waterproof Moc Toe Derby (Men)

These shoes fall into the "prosumer" level of quality. They are comfortable for short walks or hikes but they are not sturdy enough for daily wear to the job site, or even weekend home projects. The waterproofing on the sole tears easily when walking on gravel every day, and getting dirt or a pebble from under that layer is difficult. Pea gravel fits perfectly in the spaces in the shoe tread and gets stuck there until you go inside the house where the gravel magically falls loose, to be stepped on later. In my case, the stitching came apart within 6 months (I did get them wet and muddy a few times). I've been wearing ECCO's for years, and this is the first pair of their shoes that have been a disappointment.

I love these Ecco shoes so much this is my fifth pair. Due to an unknown problem, this pair replaced a pair that had the sole separate. The other, and perhaps most important part of my story, is about the amazing staff at Nordstrom. Although I had the shoes for about one and a half years, they replaced the shoes and had my new pair sent to my home. My history with Nordstrom started when my mother bought me shoes as a toddler. That was in the late '40s in Bellevue, WA. Great shoes and excellent service have kept me a customer for about 70 years. Thank you, Nordstrom!

I have been buying a new pair of the Track 2 shoes every year for at least a decade. I always buy a size 45, which fit perfect. However, the New Track 25 has changed its sizing and fit. The toe box of the Track 25 is longer and wider than the earlier Track 2 Shoe and they do not fit. I got shooting pains in my feet wearing them around the house and sadly will have to return them. I wish Ecco had not changed the Track 2 which I loved.

I purchased the Track 2 shoes at Nordstrom in 2017. They have been great until about 3 month ago when the first started to de-laminate between the sole and the uppers. I took them in to the Nordstrom Bellevue WA store with the original box. The Senior sales person told me "Well you got good use out of them". These shoes are perfectly fine; but, seem to have a manufacturing/design fault. When I started shopping at Nordstrom in 1976. This was enough to get a replacement/adjustment. That does not seem to be the case any more. FWIW: Ecco only has a "Limited" one year warrantee. If you purchase this model. Be careful! It appears that Nordstrom's return policy has changed.
