Metropole London Penny Loafer (Men)

I got these as a gift for my son. They arrived at his house quickly, however the shoes were two different sizes. They were each marked the same size but one was almost 1/2 inch shorter than the other. They also seemed to have been made of different quality leather. I thought Ecco was a reliably good quality brand, so I was surprised by this and I felt bad to make my son do the work of returning them. This was supposed to be a gift, not another chore in his life. That said, Nordstrom made the return process easy and I appreciate that.
