Ebony Lite Wooden Smart Bird Feeder

This item came within a few days, via FedEx, in a damaged exterior box (decent-sized hole). The feeder's box had slight indention from whatever had pierced the outer box. Finger prints on the item plexiglass gave the appearance it had been previously opened, and items in the box were loose and rattling. But, the camera appeared to be factory wrapped, so I decided to set up the feeder. The assembly, setup, and mounting process was easy, and the wifi connection was fine. (The camera was fully charged) However, the solar panel, which is to be able to rotate for direction, does not adjust, which can limit the direction the feeder can be mounted. Also, the light would come on whenever it started up, which doesn't make any sense during the day. As for the camera, it is mounted magnetically, and a bird could get against it and change it's position. Not long after having the feeder up and filled, the camera began to lose connectivity. I went thru the process of refreshing, resetting the unit, and even deleted and reinstalled to the app. It restarted a few times, only to continue losing connection. This is not a Wifi issue, as my other bird cams is work fine. After spending 1.5+ hours trying to rectify the issue per the instructions, the feeder is going back. If an exchange is possible, another review will accompany the new feeder. But at this time, based on these issues, I do not suggest purchasing this feeder. I would also suggest that Nordstrom use a carrier other than FedEx.

I'm not exaggerating when I say I check it constantly!!! The camera is legitimately great, the video clips are super fun, and the birds LOVE it! I was not expecting that level of detail from a bird feeder camera, or the fantastic battery life (even with the solar panel, i wasn't positive it would hold a charge and it does!). We've got a few cardinals and mockingbirds that have been showing up almost every day now and getting to see them that up close and personal is unreal. It's a whole different experience than squinting through the kitchen window. 10/10 would recommend. (Side note - we also have the bird bath by birdfy, and it's really fun to see the same birds go to the backyard for a drink and to the front yard for bird seed.)

This is my second birdfeeder from Birdfy. I love that I can watch all the finches and the occasional dove visiting this bird feeder. The setup was simple; just remember to charge the camera fully before installing. Since this was my second birdfeeder from the same company, it was easy to add this feeder to the app.
