What it is: A solid perfume balm designed to be applied with the fingertips and fragranced with notes of chypre rose, bergamot and patchouli. It is a way to make the invisible sensual and the ethereal tangible.

Fragrance story: A bouquet of roses verging on excess follows fresh bergamot spiced with pink peppercorns. Freedom claimed: this time not moss, but patchouli. To illustrate Eau Capitale, Diptyque and Pierre Marie drew their inspiration from Parisian architecture and iconic art nouveau buildings.

How to use: Apply the solid perfume on your pulse points with your fingertips, where your body gives off the most heat; on your wrists and inside your elbows; at the base of your neck, behind your ears and on your décolleté.
