What it is: A set featuring a lightweight, balanced hair dryer that dries your hair quickly while preventing extreme heat damage to protect natural shine.

Who it’s for: Anyone with short, medium or long hair that's straight, wavy, curled or coiled.

What it does: It measures air temperature 20 times each second to ensure the temperature is under control while remaining ultra fast-drying, thanks to its controlled high-velocity airflow that moves air at a rate of 41 liters every second. The motor is located in the handle, which completely rebalances the dryer's weight and shape. It's tuned to produce one inaudible frequency and is enveloped by a vibration reduction system to reduce noise.

- Three precise speed settings for fast drying, regular drying and styling, along with four heat settings (fast, regular, gentle and constant cold), a cool shot button and ionizer.
- Includes magnetic attachments so you can quickly and easily adjust for your hair’s needs. The Smoothing nozzle dries hair gently using smooth, wide air, allowing you to style and dry at the same time. The Styling concentrator produces high-velocity, targeted airflow so you can style one section at a time. The diffuser evenly disperses air around your curls, helping to reduce frizz and improve definition.

Supersonic Wonderment for Your Hair!

Okay, a $400 hair dryer is kind of nuts, right? Yeah, I thought so, but then I read the reviews, and I was intrigued. I had a lovely chunky Nordie note, and I put it towards the Dyson hair dryer set. (Plus it was my birthday month, so who deserves it more, right?) I'd purchased another hair dryer specifically designed for curly hair a few days before and had tried it out, and this Dyson is--pardon the pun--head and shoulders above that one, so I ended up returning the other hair dryer. The Dyson dries my hair super fast, without too much heat at all. It's so supersonic, that if you point it in the wrong direction all your lipsticks will go falling down like mine did. But, I didn't care, and it gave me a good laugh, because this hair dryer is sooo awesome that I was flipping out over it. Now, I ask you, when was the last time you said that about a HAIR DRYER?! I have in my later years suddenly gotten curlier hair, and the Dyson has tamed my curls, while keeping the drudgery out of drying them. I love this crazy hair dryer, and I recommend you save up for it, whether you have straight or curly hair. There are some good video clips about how to use it for various types of hair on the Dyson site. Good luck, and I really think you'll love it as much as I do.

Never worked

Purchased this on-line, got it out of the box, tested it, washed hair, came back to it and it refused to work. Never worked again so sent it back.

Failures outside of warranty period!

Great whilst they last however they seem to die just after the warranty period expires with varying problems. A lot of these problems could be resolved if Dyson would design them to make parts changeable but they clearly don’t want to do that because they just want you to keep buying new replacements every time.

Don’t bother

I don’t like these straighteners, the plates do not glide through the hair at all, I can feel my hair catching and being pulled in the grooves at the side of the plates. I also don’t really rate the overall look of my hair after using them. The only reason I’ve given two stars is for the lower heat setting and the fact they’re cordless. They are NOT value for money.
