Just Awesome!
I am not someone who loves to do my hair, it’s usually up in a bun for days on end. But ever since I bought this straightener I cannot stop styling my hair! It heats up in like 2 mins and takes me 12 mins to turn my thick medium length frizzy hair into sensational curls. Like I legit think I’m a hair stylist now...and believe me I am not experienced in all the fancy styling techniques, but the result is salon quality. While others have complained about the battery not lasting very long, which it does not, I have found that it works rather quickly and one charge always lasts me two styling sessions before the unit needs to be fully charged again. For me - holy grail product. I wish I had bought it sooner. And the brushes in this kit are fantastic. Well done, Dyson!

Very Disappointing!
After not being able to get a hold of the Dyson Air Wrap I decided to try their new very expensive straightening tool - I was really hopeful about this new flat iron. It arrived in a very large heavy box, and I should have known right there and then this wasn't going to work. I had to have my husband help me unpack it - long story short - I never even tried it! Complicated, heavy and with a battery warning if it goes on an airplane - seriously????? Needless to say I returned it the next day - will continue to use my Dry Bar straightening brush and my Revlon flat Iron:)

Not for my type 4 natural hair
Ok. Finally gave this a try after seeing some Youtubers and influencers on Instagram say it was the best thing since the Dyson dryer. Love that it’s cordless and heats up almost instantaneously. Hate that it’s so darn heavy. It’s heavier than any hair tool I hold for long periods of time. Also, the grooves along the sides of the plates snag my hair. I lost a few hairs using this. It may be because I have single strand knots but most flat irons glide over my hair, knots and all. In order to keep this from snagging my hair, I would have to lightly press the plates together which gave me a glorified blowout. To get an actual silk press, I had to press the plates close together, which then snagged my hair. If you don’t have single strand knots, this is a good item. I would eventually get used to the weight of the iron if I used it enough. As it is, I can’t use it if I want to keep my hair on my head.

This is AMAZING!!!!!!
I have this and I LOVE it!! I have very long, thick hair and this device straightens in one pass. The battery is AMAZING. Heats from stone cold to 410 in less than 15 seconds! I bought m9ne directly from Dyson because I wanted mine when they first came out. Between my Dyson hair dryer and my flat iron, my long thick hair can be completely done in 20 minutes. FANTASTIC!!!

not for me
The only pro is that it heats up fast. It is very heavy for a flatiron and it doesnt hold the charge very long. It is also no great for multi textured hair. I wanted to love this product bc i love the way it sits on the counter and the fact that its cordless but its going to be returned.

Expensive, but love it !
I was gifted some gift cards over the holidays and decided to use them towards a new straightener. I currently have the Dyson air wrap set (which I love) so decided to try this out. I have blonde hair that is sightless wavy, normal thickness and tends to get frizzy after straightening (using my old straightener) after a few hours or with weather humidity. This straightener keeps my hair straight all day and eliminates the frizz completely! The feeling of the plates against you hair is different from normal straighteners, which you have to get used to. It almost feels like it’s tugging/gripping your hair when you clamp and pull down. It heats up in about 10 seconds and straightens your hair fast! You don’t have to got over the same piece of hair multiple times, it’s straight after the first time!

Worth the money for me
Love this. I am a klutz with my hair. I can use this easily and my hair turns out great. I don’t burn myself either. I do have short hair so the weight doesn’t bother me as it takes less than ten minutes for me to finish.
