Cantaloupe Stripe Cotton Terry Robe

Back in August 2022, I saw another striped terry robe from this manufacturer on the Clearance rack. I knew I should have snatched it up at the time, because (of course), it was gone when I went back a few days later! So I was very pleased when I looked here online and saw a few different colors. It’s difficult to shop online for a personal item, I’ve concluded. The sense of touch feeling the texture and weight of the cotton material, along with the fresh smell and ability to see the colors are factors I will no longer take for granted. This is not to fault Nordstrom in any way. This robe was available by special order only. The store pickup process was as smooth as hot chocolate. The shipping box only would need gift wrap if it weren’t for me. The striped colors on the item are exactly as they appear online, which is the best feature. I actually wish Dusen Dusen and the buyer for Nordstrom would have stepped out a bit more and offered stripes and prints that were more distinct from each other: cantaloupe and grapefruit are too similar in my opinion. The construction of my garment seems good, unlike call-outs from other reviewers. I bought a Large as I like to feel enveloped in the thick cotton fabric. I am disappointed as the price is higher than the delivered value. I expected a far heavier, thicker cotton, especially given our chilly Winter weather in Los Angeles this month. The cotton fabric used is probably suitable for late spring- early fall wearing by the pool, but not what I wished for right now.
