Pistachio Eau de Parfum

This was included in the SNK 2025 Fragrance Calendar. I see from the previous reviews that this has been quite polarising and I'm not surprised, this would not be a scent to blind buy. My first thought on trying this was - oh, nougat! (which of course often contains pistachio and almonds)! The almond is very much present right from the start in the top notes. I did not distinguish any cardamom nor did my partner but the opening is also quite aromatic and I think this is the quality that note contributes. It is undeniably sweet, but I found myself forgiving this as it is balanced by the aromatic and nut notes. Later the aromatic quality is largely replaced with soft patchouli (fine by me) and this stays a warm patchouli/nut blend for a long time. I liked it very much and this was a pleasant surprise as much of the 2025 SNK Fragrance Calendar was too sweet and too cheaply artificial for me.

Received this in the Space NK Fragrance Advent Calendar and had high hopes. I love pistachio and although I do get a nuttiness from this scent there is just a pungent smell to it that my nose cannot get past. It softens slightly on dry down but I was really disappointed. I do like the D S

Definitely not what I expected based on the notes/description. This has absolutely nothing to do with pistachios, nor any nuts whatsoever. All I can smell is … stale communion bread, as weird as that sounds. Harsh, bitter, pungent on application. This rollerball is rather oily upon application and it takes ages to dry/penetrate the skin so I’d be careful applying when wearing delicate garments. Super long lasting, which is good if you like it. I want to say it mellows down eventually but the patchouli here is very strong, dirty even. Wild and untamed. Whatever vanilla there is gets lost along the way. I’m really sad this didn’t agree with me. Since it’s a rollerball I don’t think it would be hygienic to pass it onto someone else. Mine was part of the fragrance advent calendar, I wouldn’t ever repurchase it myself and would recommend anyone try it in person before shelling out for this. Cap is secure and doesn’t leak but a lot comes off upon application.

I got this in my Space NK fragrance advent calendar, my daughter was desperate for me to open it so she could smell as she loves pistachio. I surprised her with it on Christmas day and she was over the moon but the smell was actually disapointing. It smells a bit minty to me! My daughter thinks its ok but she would not want it again.
