Cowboy Grass Eau de Parfum

Great fresh scent, perfect for spring and summer Always heavy in my rotation, and I always get compliments whenever I wear this. Smells really fresh, and certainly unique. It’s not so overpowering, and I get about 5-7 hours longevity on my skin with only 4 to 6 sprays. I tried layering with ‘I don’t Know What’ too, and that works like a charm A sleeper scent by Ds Durga in my opinion. Super underrated and you won’t regret a 100ml bottle.

I bought the set of 10ml to try as I really wanted to test out the fragrances. My partner and I have shared the box and this is one of his favourites as well as mine. It’s a warm grassy fragrance with a hint of earthiness - it’s not fresh or grassy in a typical way but more like a late summer evening when after silage has been collected. I’ve not tried any other fragrance like it and it’s not a typical feminine or masculine scent. Beautiful for summer casual wear.

These cowboys must really be Ralph Lauren cowboys - freshly showered and immaculately turned out. It feels like a straightforward, scrubbed clean but pleasant vetiver. Well washed, with and some dry herbal notes, no earthiness or rooty elements at all. There is a hint of sweetness about this, but it is the dry sweetness of dried grass (hay) rather than sugariness. There was no discernable development or progression. It lasted 4-5 hours, never projecting strongly, after then remained a whisper on the skin. My partner and I both like vetiver and found this a pleasant, classic style vetiver, but not one to set the world on fire and I did expect something more interesting at this very niche price. If you don't get on with the more modern style of vetiver where iso E super adds a cold steeliness (e.g. Encre Noire, Terre d'Hermes), then this might suit you better. It reminds me of the original Guerlain vetiver, before they messed it up with too many reformulations.

I'm not going to get too much into the scent itself because I think that is subjective and not helpful. Personally, I think it's a gorgeous woody fragrance that is comforting, like warm blanket. However, I will say that in terms of quality, this is wonderful. One spritz lasts the entire day (and beyond) and the scent itself is very well-mixed and smooth. I will definitely be back to buy the biggest size of this.
