What it is: A multipurpose straightening iron that straightens, curls and smoothes and leaves it shiny.

What it does: This flat iron allows you to quickly straighten even the thickest hair into super-seek straight looks, or to add a bit of wave or curl to your hair.
How to use: To straighten, hold the iron horizontally. Clamp hair at the root and slowly pull through to the ends, slightly beveling toward the face to prevent static. To curl, hold the iron vertically. Clamp hair midway through the section and pull forward to the ends. The slower you pull, the greater the curls. For waves, pull through hair more quickly.

Disappointing
I am so disappointed with this straightener. I have used GHD all my life and wanted to switch it up after my fourth GHD gave out but I will be going back for sure. The Drybar yellow is cute, but not when the paint is coming off into your hair. I’ve also never had a problem with the heat on my hair before, as I have very thick and curly hair, but this straightener killed parts of my hair. I now have two spots where my hair is fried. This straightener will never compare to GHD, or really anything else.

waste of money
I bought this straightener about 6 months ago and it’s been OK. My previous straightener lasted me 4 years and cost around $60. I have super curly hair and use straighteners a lot in the winter time and for traveling. My last straightener was great for traveling because it had a locking mechanism, longer swivel cord, international adaptability and auto shut off. I bought this one because of DryBar’s reputation and wanted to see if I could get better quality. The yellow paint has been peeling, the device doesn’t lock, nor have the little foot to stand on the counter. It straightens my hair and that’s all I can say about it. Would I recommend this product? No. Go with Remington, you’ll get more for much less.

Glides well, but doesn’t straighten/curl well
This flat iron is great for not pulling or snagging hair. Straightened decently, but didn’t keep my hair straight long. Granted, humidity, but my old beat up straightener kept my hair straight even when humid. And curling your hair with it?! If you have long hair, forget it. The plates are too short and you’ll need an extra set of hands. I really wanted this to work- but, I’ll have to return it bc it just isn’t what I was hoping it would be.
