Flat Mate Boar Bristle Brush

The letters 'drybar' on the brush peeled off- so now my brush says 'ryb' the handle seems to be made really cheaply for the price. The paint is already coming off and I've had it for less than 3 weeks. Makes me wish that I had purchased the Mason Pearson brush instead. My hair does seem to be a little less frizzy on the ends but I'll have to update if I really notice a difference later.

My husband bought this brush for me because it was time to invest in a quality brush that will last. In 5 days the letters started coming off and the paint is chipping off the back. Now it looks cheap. I am giving a 2 star as the bristles feel nice. I am really disappointed in the quality of the handle. I purchased at a store 70 miles away so I have emailed Drybar about my dissatisfaction.

The brush is great! The bristles get wonderfully to the scalp and it feels good, a feeling of massaging your scalp. However!! This black dye smells Horrible!! So you're brushing your hair, and this toxic black dye's particles are coating your hair and scalp?? Why do manufacturers use the harshest dyes that smell of chemicals? And black dye smells the worst of any other colored dyes. I just don't get it!

I've been looking for a good quality brush, I went to Nordstrom, and my first pick was the Sisley Paris brush, but my sales lady told me that it's expensive but cheap quality. I finally decided with the Drybar brush, and I've been enjoying it so far. It has boar hairs, which I like, and nylon bristles, and it doesn't scratch my scalp like my other one because of the plastic bristles. I would say I made a good choice buying this one. It doesn't look cheap like the Sisley Paris one, and its price is similar to the Sisley Paris. Drybar $85 plus tax: $92.12 and the Sisley Paris brush $90 plus tax: $97.54. Only $5.42 difference between the two. It's so much more worth than the Sisley Paris. It doesn't look cheap like Sisley's. Hope this helps with the prices and deciding. Give it a try!
