Sandra Plunge Crepe Trumpet Gown

The perfect black dress! Very flattering in waist and bust. I’m a 34DD and do not need to wear a bra with the dress, there is enough support for the right amount of cleavage. I think the dress fits true to size (I ordered a 4) but is very long, I’m having it hemmed at Nordstrom’s so I don’t trip on it (I’m 5’6” and wearing 3 inch heels it still needed a few inches off).

I really liked the quality. I’m a size 12, but according to the sizing guide, I ordered an XL. It was a bit long for me so I had to get it tailored. Other than that, I was more than happy with this dress.

Although I decided to get the dress tailored to fit me a bit better- the electric blue color is absolutely stunning! I received so many compliments when I wore it to a black tie wedding. As a reference I am 6’2’’ and the gown almost reaches the floor on me- it is so long! I would buy true to size (I got a medium) and know that the plunge neck is really just a v-neck.

I liked this dress. It is not nearly as plunging as the pictures (which other reviews mentioned and which encouraged me to try it). When standing still (and not with you leg out like in the picture) the slit doesn't show. The fabric is a nice weight and flows well, with just enough stretch to make it comfortable but not overly clingly. I am 5'10" 160 pounds, 38, 29, 42 and I ordered a large. The top definitely will require tailoring for me, but the hip area fit nicely. I have ordered 3 different color dresses in this brand and they are true to what the color on the screen is.

I was hesitant about ordering this dress because of the mixed reviews. I admit, the fabric isn't super soft but most formal dresses aren't super comfortable to begin with. I'm 5'5 132lbs and ordered a small. I thought the fit was great but did need to get it altered a little for the length. I'm a 34D and didn't feel like it was too tight or too big. Overall, for the price I think it's great!

I am so happy with my dress choice for my son's Fall wedding in the Texas hill country. It was so comfortable and easy to wear for the entire event. The long slit made for easy walking and sitting. Lightweight, not hot or heavy like many long dresses. The color was rich and photographed beautifully. The bodice was fitted so I did not need to wear a bra. Honestly, it fit so perfect right off the hanger. I got so many compliments all night, and will definitely wear it again. It's a great piece to have in my wardrobe now. I do think this brand runs a little small. I am often a size 2 or extra small. This was a small, and while it fit perfectly, there was no extra room. The "trumpet" flare was cute and flattering. All in all, a great purchase and so well priced compared to many other long dresses.
