Monica Tea Length Trumpet Dress

I ordered in black, blue and pink since I'm just a *tad* indecisive. All 3 were of course gorgeous, but the blue was super dark blue (looked black in pictures) and the pink matched my skin too closely so it did nothing for me. All it all, gorgeous dress and I am so glad I kept it in black! I am 125 lbs, 5'6", 34D and the small fit like a glove.

I have purchased this brand a few times now and the sizing is always different. I agree with all the other reviews and I should have not even placed the order, but I did. First the dress runs small and even smaller in the bust area-I would have sized up but it wasn't available. I'm 5'4 and it just didn't hit in the right places, so there would have been lots of alterations. I'm just not sure this length with the trumpet hem even looks good on my height. Returning.

This is a beautiful dress, just not for me. It was much too long for my 5'4" frame and overpowered me. It was also a bit more revealing in the bust than I would have liked. Lastly, there is a curvy seam that goes up around the thigh that was not visible in the picture. It was not exactly what I expected and thus I had to return. It is well made and the fabric is of good quality.

I agree with some of the other reviews in that the sizing is a little off. I am 5'3'' 125lb and ordered the small. The straps were way too long and I had to get them altered, but besides that this is a very flattering dress for a petite person. The trumpet style and length are very pretty for people on the shorter side. That being said, the small is still pretty snug for a small. I probably could have sized up to a medium and been fine. But overall, a beautiful classic black dress.
