Beautiful Idea but Execution is Disproportionate
I recently purchased two "Dress the Population" cocktail dresses from Nordstrom based on the photos online. Both looked beautiful on the model. However, the company evidently cuts for long, lean people. I am 5'3" and 120 pounds - ordered the size Medium. Both dresses are too big in the shoulders; too small in the bust and hips. I sent them back.

Flattering but returned
Ordered this in medium (I'm usually size 8-10 bottoms and dresses; 5'7, 150 lb athletic build) and it fit well. The inner liner is a miracle worker as it makes the dress super soft and comfortable - not itchy from the sequins at all. It hit just below the knee and did not show much cleavage. Very flattering a-line dress but I am returning because I did not love the overall look. It actually felt "old" - I'm 29 and it seemed more retro in person - not young, ish party dress for an upcoming weddng.

Other reviews said to size up. I tried that but an xl was too large, the Large that I am keeping is still a bit baggy in the bust and the sleeves are a bit long bit it fits good around the waste. It’s made for thin waisted big busted women. I’m 5’ 5” and weigh 145. I have a bit of grandma waist because I’m 62.
