I love this shoe!

I have several pairs of the Madison and find them incredibly comfortable and versatile. I have the taupe suede and wear them all the time. This time I wanted a white tennis shoe for spring and summer. They did not disappoint. I’m worried about keeping them clean and white. I have already washed them in my machine and dried out in the sun and they look great. I wear them on long walks (4 miles at a time) and they support my feet as well as a running shoe. I plan to use them for a trip to Italy in the fall. P. S. I have a wider foot and the regular size fits just fine!

Not the shoe for Me

These were very cheaply made shoes, I should have known from the price point. From the gappy, ill fitting tops to the hard-as-rock sole... they were a complete fail for me. Yes I am old, and my feet require a shoe with good fit, cushion, and support.... but really, who doesn’t?

Not the shoe for Me

Has a shiny back panel you can't really see

The images of the shoe do not clearly show that there is a shiny back panel on the heel. It's patent leather looking and really ugly. Very out of step with the rest of the shoe's casual feel. I certainly would NOT have ordered it had I noticed this. You can see it a bit in the side view but without the back view of the shoe, it's impossible to notice how out of sync it looks. Really changes the shoe. Terrible.

Wide sizing is too big

I didn't really get to wear these enough to say how they hold up or fit or look. I am just reviewing to let other customers know that the wides run big. I have been a 7.5W in just about every other shoe I have tried. These were huge on me, and my heel slipped out the back. I would like to try again sometime a half size down or in a 7.5M. But for now, this is all the feedback I have. If you are ordering in a wide size, I would try a half size down from what you normally wear.

NOT wide width

I really wanted to love these shoes. I love my TOMs but there are just too narrow for my feet and after wearing them all day, my feet hurt so badly. I was really hoping these would be versatile and cute like the TOMS but give me the width I need for all day. Overall they are cute shoes, but NOT wide width at all. They are a very basic shoe and the cushioning seems the same as all other shoes. I guess I was expecting more from Dr. Sholls. But I've never purchased this brand before so I have nothing to compare them to.
