well made!
I bought these as a gift for my niece. She is entering college. She is mad about them! They are very well made. The leather is softer than her other boots. She wears them everywhere. She also works in retail and is on her feet for long periods of time. She says they feel great on her feet. They keep her legs fit and she doesn't get so tired. Needless to say, I am now the "good aunt". At least for now.

SIZE INACCURATE
After reading all reviews with suggested size to be ordered smaller, so I took the chance of ordering 1 size smaller as recommended. I'm a size 6, so I ordered a 5. It didn't work for me. My toe is all the way to the top with the tip of my big toe. The front flap of the shoe doesn't stay even after the shoe laces are tied. The flap moves. The picture looks nicer than the real shoes in reality.

Love'em
This is my first pair of Docs and I was a little concerned when I took them out of the box - they looked super long!! I'm wearing them for the first time today, and they are so cute & very comfy. The leather has a 'worn' look (see pic) already which may bother some but I'm fine with it because they move with my feet and aren't at all stiff. These are replacing my Uggs as my new favorite weekenders!!

Sleek But Runs Big
It seems Doc Martens whole-sizes are either too big or too small for some people. I might be one of them, but I love the look and feel of this shoe so much I won't give up just yet. Am a 7m but my feet were swimming in them & they made my feet look huge! 6m has my toes right up against the tip of the toe box, but they are leather, so thick socks and breaking in should make them more comfortable. Cons: Shoe has flat foot bed, no arch support. Whole sizes can be hard to fit. Pros: Nice leather feel and look more expensive than they are. Demure, not overstated/bulky.

Long and Narrow
These work for me! I am replacing my original Air Walkers from 1999! The sizing on this updated boot is very different from my classic pair (which are unisex but cut for a man's foot). I ordered 1/2 size down and could have fit a full size smaller in length. The width is perfect for my wider than average foot. There is very little arch support but could easily accommodate an orthotic or gel insole. Narrow feet women may need to find a better choice.

Really nice boot!
Ordered my usual sz 9- waaaay too big! Sent back for an 8 with fingers crossed. Bingo!! Perfect!!! Wanted a light weight lace up boot to wear in fall and winter with long or short skirts, and jeans . These are great. Very light weight, comfy the minute i put them on. Considering upgrading to leather laces- a tad more dressy. Love that i can wear Dr Martens with out the clunky.

AWESOME
SO comfy! I have had my eyes on these for well over a year and just never had the funds, Christmas came and i jumped at the chance of getting these with a gift card. SO glad i did! i love them!
