Real or faux leather?
Everyone is saying these run big but I bought my daughter a size up and they are longer than others that fit-but she said they are too small! She is 7, so I think she means they are so uncomfortable, feels like stiff plastic, that she thought they were too small. Don't recommend this style!

not worth the price
The style itself is really cute and looks great but the faux leather is absolutely horrible. It’s made out of what appears to be a thin stiff plastic. It doesn’t look of feel comfortable and to make things worse, the zipper will go down on its own on one shoe. My daughter loves the style, so ultimately we may look at other doc’s but will not keep these. I will be sure to look at styles in person before purchasing to make sure we avoid this issue again.

Nice higher heel, too glossy looking
The photos don't accurately show how glossy/shiny these boots are in person--they're almost like patent leather. I've been looking for a shoe to replace my Pascals from a couple years ago and this style has been almost the only option currently available. The Bex means a higher heel, which is great (me being a petite woman). However, I don't like the high shine. It does mean less maintenance, though, so I have mixed feelings.
