Super Anti-Aging Dual Serum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally speaking, I try to be a little more flexible when it comes to reviewing products gifted by Influenster because it is a privilege and not a right. However, in this situation, I do not think it is fair for me to do that and potentially mislead those who may read my review. I have very sensitive skin, which is probably even more sensitive, as I typically incorporate retinol into my skincare routine. On her website, Dr. Barbara Sturm is very much anti-retinol (which I can totally understand, as eye doctors do not love how their patients will put retinol near their eyes, something no good dermatologist will tell you to do), and prefers an alternative formula for anti-aging purposes. That being said, as I alternate between a retinol or a hydrating serum every day, I decided to swap out them out to see the efficacy of this product. To be honest, I cannot say much about the anti-aging claims it has, but what I can tell is that there is something in this product that made my skin react. Within seconds of applying it, I felt my skin prickle and throb, and I when I checked in the mirror, I saw red bumps strewn across my forehead. I did give this serum a few more tries over the following days, as well as not using it and then trying it again, but my skin just did not agree with me. I also never saw any anti-aging benefits. Given just how much it costs, I do not believe it is fair for me to suggest this. Maybe if you do not have sensitive skin, this may be a good product. However, given the reaction I had, as well as not seeing an anti-aging effect, I personally will not be using this product.
