Soft, warm flattery
This coat is amazing. The fabric is stunning - it is so soft to the hand, and drapes nicely over the body. The cut of the coat is true-to-size, as depicted in the photo, generously cut to go over a suit jacket or work sweater, but never sloppy. The finishing details on this coat are beautiful - every stitch perfectly placed, the collar lying just so. The pockets are hand-warmers, nicely placed to tuck your hands in while walking in cooler weather. This is a stunning, beautiful garment, and worth every penny. So happy with it!

Disappointing
I expected more from a Max Mara coat. Only the sleeves are lined, and because of this, the coat doesn't maintain a good structure. It looks more like a blanket than a chic, city coat.

Gorgeous and fits my large shoulders
This coat is stumning. Feels like butter and have to say it's worth the price tag. I'm a bigger girl up top (usually 18w or 20w up top) with broad shoulders and narrow hips...the 16 fits! Hangs beautifully and the color is gorgeous...not ivory and not grey..."Sand"color describes it perfectly. Wanted a Max Mara coat for a long time and thrilled to find a single breasted, button down coat that isn't a belted wrap coat. Thrilled!

Very cool coat!
This coat is so nice. It is intended to be slightly oversized and runs a bit large. I am 5'3", 115 lbs and normally wear a size 2. In this coat the 0 is perfect. Still enough room for sweaters underneath and the arms are the perfect length. I live in Northern Minnesota where the winters can be pretty cold so the 2 button unlined style will be for late fall and warmer winter days, but I can't wait to wear it! The light grayish white color is beautiful and the coat is very soft!

Not worth the price point
This Max Mara coat is not lined and I had much higher expectations based on this price point. The shoulders in the back had excessive excess material. The rolled edge at the bottom of the coat looks cheap. It only has a two button closure. What should be a winter coat is more like fall and spring. I would give it 1 star but the softness was amazing so warranted a 2 star.
