Double Face Car Coat

I really wanted this coat to work. I love the overall style. A bit of a swing coat that is a little looser and with a clean design. I ordered a Large and it was enormous. Not just oversized, but huge. The neck looked giant and sloppy and the sleeves were past my finger tips. The material did seem nice. If the sleeves hadn't been so long I would have size down to a Medium or even maybe Small for a more traditional swing fit.

This is a simple shoulder season swing coat that I can wear casually on a weekend or wear to work. Really like the silhouette. But it’s huge—I usually wear large and sized down to a small and there’s still plenty of room for me to layer underneath. The other thing for some reason, when I ordered this, it came with a ton of lint on it both inside and outside of the jacket. Very annoying to receive it like this. This happened twice since I ordered twice to get the right size. Don’t know if it’s because I had it sent to a Nordstrom Rack to pickup from and the sending store expected them to clean it up before I came to get it or what, but it’s very poor presentation to give to a customer.

This coat is SO cute, but is terrible quality. The fabric is thin and there’s no liner, so you can see where the pockets are tacked in. Literally, this coat is made of a single layer of fabric… like something a student would make in a beginner sewing class. The coat is so thin that it really wouldn’t keep you warm even in a mild winter. You could probably wear it in the spring, but it clearly looks like a winter coat, so that’s a big miss. The cut and silhouette is exactly what I’m looking for. I wanted something that could swing between formal and casual. It’s perfect in that way. The execution just isn’t there…
