Double Breasted Trench Coat with Hooded Quilted Dickey

I wanted to make sure I left a review because the other reviews here are so weird. I’m going to break it down to address my thoughts. Size: It is a tad big, but not massive. I am 5’5”, 126 lbs, 32B, and typically wear a size 2. In coats and jackets, I buy a small. I got an extra small in this and it’s fine. If I want to wear a sweatshirt with it, I will likely need to remove the hood/dickey, as it will be snug. The “sound”: I don’t know what that reviewer is talking about. They made it sound like this jacket was going to “swish” like an old school sweatsuit or a windbreaker—it absolutely does not. I don’t notice a sound *at all.* It feels like a normal water-proof trench to me. It reminds me of the Columbia waterproof coats or a maybe kind of like the texture of snow bibs. The Weight: this is a heavier jacket. I would say it’s a Fall to Winter or Winter to Spring jacket, not a summer to Fall jacket. The Quality: I feel that the quality is reflected in the price. This isn’t a Burberry trench and I don’t expect it to be that quality. It is an absolutely fine trench that I expect to last me several years at least. The stitching is fine, but nothing noteworthy. The material feels strong and resilient. The zippers are a little cheap feeling, but nothing horrible. I think it fits the quality expectations I have of Avec Les Filles just fine. Overall, this is a great trench for rainy fall days and I look forward to using it for years to come!
