Double Breasted Denim Coat

I have to agree with other reviews -- I am 5'3", 113 lbs, usually an XS or S. Bought this in a small. The shoulders fit odd -- big and puffy and seam extends too far, but it's tight across the back. The buttons across the waist also seem misplaced and tight. I also agree that the fabric feels heavy. If they adjusted the fit a bit, and gave it a better drape/swing, it would be amazing. Perhaps it just didn't fit my body? I also kept looking for a belt -- seemed like that would have added some pizazz. But of a disappointment but I saved myself some money. For what it's worth, I loved the cropped Good American belted cropped denim -- it's also heavy, but fits true to size and seems a little more manageable overall. Jealous of the people this worked for!

The top part is very poorly structured; it fits too tightly

o wear a sweater underneath. Very nice timeless peice. For me, the fit was true to size. I purchased a xxl, which is my actual size (not my dream size) in outerwear. If you are unsure about your size, I would size up. The sleeve length and width fit great, as i have long arms. Not sure why there are negative reviews. The coat is not heavy to me, but please keep in mind it is denim. The button quality is sufficient. To me, this is a nice item for the price point. I only wish it was 100% cotton, but I can live with 10% polyester. I say go for.

The coat (I purchased a Large and am a size 12 on top) was tight in the upper arms and the shoulders hung past my actual shoulders (I have very broad shoulders, so this should not have happened) and the pockets, the way they are half-way attached towards your backside by your waist, make a person look wide (I am a 6 on the bottom). The back had way too much extra material from about the waist down on each side, but the top fit like a Medium. It is stunningly styled and beautiful to look at, but just did not suit my particular figure and I felt the weight of it was too heavy as well. Had very high hopes for this, but unfortunately am having to return due to the fit and weight of the coat.

I adore this denim coat. I have many ALF jackets but this one is cut differently especially in the shoulder area that is very tight, making it impossible to raise your arms. The body is cut small as well. I ordered my normal XS and was lucky there was a S left in stock. I haven't received it yet but hoping it fits. This is so unique and I love the shoulder features and length.
