Beautiful Scent!
I bought this scent today and I adore it!
I have been wearing Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue for years but have had the urge to add another scent to my collection. But it's not easy! I think choosing a fragrance can be so difficult- sometimes a scent smells nice but doesn't smell right on you or is too mature or dissipates in moments, etc.
I purchased my fragrance in store and smelled everything from debuts to classics but was hooked on Dolce for a few reasons...
1. It is a D&G fragrance- I have already had such success with Light Blue, it felt right to stick with the tried and true brand.
2. It is a Parfum, more concentrated than a Toilette. This appealed to me as I am about to start my first job post-grad and want something that will hang with me "9 to 5".
3. I found it so exciting that this is the first fragrance to harness white amaryllis. The Sales Associate that helped me today told me about the incredible process of extracting the scent through "Headspace Technology": the exact scent of the flower is captured when it is in full bloom which occurs only once a day. This process eliminates the need to cut or grind the flower for the essential oil. I thought that made the fragrance that much more special and unique.
4. I purchased the larger bottle which came with two pieces of marzipan, which were delicious! The flower stopper on the bottle itself was designed in homage to traditional Sicilian confections adorned with similar marzipan sculptures. The stopper is my favorite part about the design of the bottle- such a pretty addition in combination with the light green parfum and black ribbon.
5. And most importantly, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL SCENT! What I love about the D&G fragrances is that they utilize a variety of scents from floral to musk and blend them so beautifully that not one note or component is overwhelming. It's a complex, powerful fragrance while still being very bright and light. This scent certainly isn't "old lady" or childish- it's just lovely and I think suitable for so many! I think it has more femininity then Light Blue and a stronger floral tone, but of course balanced to perfection to create a really beautiful fragrance.
I am so excited about this new fragrance and can't wait to wear it daily!

Very disappointed in Dolce. I was so excited to try it but should have smelled it first.

Soapy, floral, warm, pleasant
The packaging is the best part of this parfum. It's a beautiful vintage italian bottle with a feminine bow around the neck. The first notes are very floral, and bold. Then it dries down to a soapy, water-lily floral with some woodsy warmth undertones. It's very pleasant but not distinctive at all, and it's a quite neutral scent. I don't think it has a strong or complex enough composition to offend anyone but also not going to stand-out as a signature scent or get a lot of compliments. It's like an expensive shampoo that will blend into any combination of mildly scented lotions & potions you wear everyday. I'm not sure it's worth $50, if you can find one somewhere else for less than it's a nice, simple scent for the office.
If you are looking for a signature aquatic, floral scent with woodsy notes I much prefer L'eau d'Issey Miyake - same price point but much more sophisticated, and complex a scent. And, I have to say even the Miyake EDT has better longevity & sillage (scent trail) whereas Dolce fades after a few hours.

So it's not complex, so what? It's just pretty.
I read reviews stating this was nothing special or groundbreaking. I agree it's not groundbreaking but it IS like fresh spring air, as a previous reviewer wrote. Dolce is a sweet girl who you couldn't say anything bad about it because she's a kind and friendly person. And white florals for spring? I'm sorry but I'll never get tired of them!

Sophisticated and Soft-Spoken
Dolce is a very wearable fragrance that won't have people on an elevator getting off at the next floor just so that they can breathe again. Yet it's not wimpy either. It's fresh, yet soft; floral but also somewhat fruity; and warm with just a hint of sweetness. The result is a long-lasting, complementary blend for women of all ages.
If you're looking for something very strong and edgy, then skip over this one, not because this scent is ordinary and nondescript but because it's not a screamer of a fragrance. It is perfect for any daytime environment and lovely for any evening environment.
The delightfully retro bottle with its sculptured flower stopper apparently designed to represent the marzipan molded by Sicilian confectioners is just the perfect package for this classic yet modern scent.

Dolce is divine!
My day is set after I put on my Dolce in the morning.
If I could have the most beautiful wedding arrangement of the flowers used in Dolce in my hands I would want to savor the
glorious scents of Dolce as I walk down the isle. The best part of all is that Dolce Eau de Parfum Spray lasts all day and smells as fresh in late afternoon as it is when I first spray it on in the morning.
Divine!

Perfect for Daily Wear
I am NOT usually a perfume person, but I first noticed this perfume as a sample ad in the Nordstrom magazine. It seemed light and not overwhelming, so I ended up buying it. I love it. I wear it almost daily and it is not overpowering whatsoever for the office. It's a great "every day" staple...the only drawback is that it does not last throughout the day when I'm out, but I can still detect light notes here and there. It's good for women like me who like a light, floral perfume.
