What it is: A candle featuring the herbal scent of patchouli.
Fragrance story: An island in Indonesia. The patchouli leaves have been freshly cut from shrubs that blossom in the shade. They will now be dried to release their full-bodied perfume: dense, dark and charged with earthy, woody and almost camphorated accents.

How to use: The first time you burn your diptyque candle, allow it to burn for at least two hours until the whole top is liquid with wax to help your candle burn more evenly next time. Before lighting, trim the wick to 1/4-inch length, which will allow the candle to burn slowly and will help avoid unsightly black marks around the edge of the glass. After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.

Another wow from diptyque
Very earthy, realistic woody patchouli.
It’s not at all like the 70’s smelly patchouli smell, this is realistic.
It’s almost like a dry hay smell, very soft and delicate, woody, and with a really good longevity.
I’m surprised at how good this is as patchouli can be very hit and miss.

Totally underwhelmed
I was so excited to be purchasing my first Diptique candle and after (a lot) of debating and researching including going into stores and smelling them I finally decided to splurge on the large size of patchouli. When I opened the box I could smell it immediately and it is so beautiful I was totally in love- this has a beautiful light smokiness falling in a deep and lush patchouli it's a real close your eyes and float away type scent.... ahhh... but then when I lit it, perplexingly it has failed to throw at all. I've been burning it in total for around 6 hours and still no apparent smell really. Even when a friend came over she could not smell it at all. Feeling sad and disappointed with this but maybe it was a faulty one. I'd just like to add that I have loved all of my Diptique frangrances and body products but this one has been very disappointing maybe some of the other scents are better x

The best patchouli candle!
I’m a fan of Diptyque candles and this is one of my recent favourites. I would say it is the best patchouli candle scent I have ever tried. The scent is strong and fills a room even if it isn’t burning! As expected from Diptyque, you get great quality product with consistent burn/scent throw. Definitely recommend for your home as well as gifts - easy crowd pleaser

Patchouli has always been one of my favourite scents but this one is so much more complex and richer! It’s warm, earthy, and slightly spicy, with a rich, almost velvety texture that lingers beautifully on the skin. Definitely a standout in the Diptyque range and a strong favoUrite of mine!

If you like patchouli , go for this candle ! It is my favourite from Diptyque, perfect for winter but I also like it during summer time.

Lovely scent!
I very much enjoyed this candle. It burns nicely, without tunneling and the throw is great too. I'm always a little bit skeptical about anything that is Patchouli scented as I sometimes find it to be too sweet, but with this candle it was just right. It just has the perfect balance. This works great with Santal or Benjoin among others too.

Earthy smell
Great earthy patchouli candle. Initially, I thought that it would be similar to Diptyque Vetyver, but this one is quite different. Quality is amazing, it burns evenly and the throw is quite good. If you like this candle, check out Boy Smells Cowboy Kush - its quite similar.
