What it is: An eau de parfum that owes its name to the palao variety of oud from Laos.
Fragrance story: Oud wood is one of the rarest and oldest essences in perfumery. As precious as gold, as legendary as incense, it takes center stage in this fragrance. The composition is designed like a Moroccan zellij, a fine mosaic made of colored tiles. At the heart of the fragrance, oud wood and other materials such as vanilla and rose interact. East meets West in this interlacing of captivating scents.

Smells Very Expensive without Breaking the Bank
I tried this out at The Grove one afternoon and I thought it was quite strong and overwhelming. It was sprayed on the tester paper that time because of this sanitary concern we have due to the pandemic. I ended up buying Vetyverio since it was light and fresh.
I found again the tester paper with the Oud Palao sprayed on it inside my jeans pocket and it smelled really nice. I decided to get it anyway.
I sprayed it on my skin and gently spread it all over my body. The dry down i s very nice. A little bit goes a long way. I have had people asking me that very same day what scent I was using. Oud Palao smells extraordianry and expensive. It has that very Middle Eastern vibe. You would think of all the rich and sophisticated Middle Eastern when you have this perfume on.

I love this brand but this is just an fake Oud! If your 99 year's or older you mite like it!!

Just the best smell !
I love oud. I am crazy about it. I discovered the smell accidently and it was love from the first sniff. I did a lot of research before I bought this brand. What I like the most about it is that it smells amazing and is really long lasting ~24 hours ( including two light showers). The price is right for this very expensive smelling perfume. Nordstrom delivered it fast and showered me with free samples. I felt like a princess. Thank you, Nordstrom !

Mezcal in a bottle - my absolute fave
Smoky, intense, woody, with a hint of vanilla. Superb evening fragrance but I also wear it during the day as an impact statement. Powerful fragrance .
Reminds me of Tom Ford velvet orchid, another favourite of mine. If you are not a fan of florals( like me) this is for you. Thank you to the staff and Liverpool Street station who helped me uncover this gem!

Old lady scent

Not my style
This scent isn't my cup of tea. I don't smell any rose in the background and it's just not very good to my nose. It's very strong and it will last for hours so that's good. But during my headache days this would have the potential to precipitate a migraine for sure. I'm on the fence. Wish I had gotten with the rose scent...
